Like the previous high-end Canon cameras, this can accumulate as many features as possible and can make them available in a single day. While this camera is easy-to-use, the price is also extremely affordable. Let us take a closer look what this camera can brag about to us.

With a sleek charcoal-grey body and a 4x optical zoom, Canon Powershot A590IS 8 mega pixel digital camera is truly one of a kind. You can clearly review your images because this has a 2.5" LCD display.

Furthermore, it uses the motion detecting technology to take blur-free, crystal clear photos as carries by the famous Optical Image Stabilizer of Canon.

Shifting among various shooting modes easily is one of the great features of Canon Powershot A590IS. Choosing a shooting mode quickly that is suitable for a particular environment can be dialed very handy. If you want to set all controls automatically enabling you to take the clearest and brightest pictures, set it to 'Easy Mode'.

The camera gives you the advantage of red-eye correction and face detection technology for it has a DIGICIII Image Processor. The appearances of red eyes in the photo are annoying problems that is familiar to any digital camera users.

Canon Technology Features

* Digic Imaging Processor: While much technical discussion of digital cameras centers around the optics and the CCD sensor, the complex task of image rendering is the job of the image processor--the "brains" of a digital camera. Canon's latest, exclusive DIGIC Imaging Processor significantly enhances digital camera performance in numerous areas. DIGIC's high-speed signal processing is combined with high-capacity buffering to give Canon digital cameras fast response and continuous shooting capability unmatched by other digital cameras. DIGIC delivers longer battery life and beautiful, rich color rendition with far fewer white saturation problems. And DIGIC's unequaled precision delivers clear, noise-free images that are demonstrably superior.

* iSAPS Technology: Canon iSAPS (Intelligent Scene Analysis based on Photographic Space) technology dramatically improves the performance of AF (Autofocus), AE (Auto Exposure), and AWB (Auto White Balance). By analyzing a huge volume of photography data, accumulated over 60 years and the manufacture of over 150 million cameras, Canon engineers arrived at statistical relationships among focal length, focus distance, scene brightness, and other factors. Equipped with this "fore knowledge" Canon PowerShot cameras can optimize AF/AE/AWB settings for any given scene more rapidly and more effectively.

* Multi-point AiAF: Canon's wide-area, multi-point AiAF (artificial intelligence autofocus) automatically selects one or more focusing points based on factors, such as subject position and motion. AiAF works in conjunction with iSAPS Technology to more quickly and accurately achieve autofocus under a wide variety of shooting conditions. You get fast, accurate AF whether you hold the camera horizontally or vertically, with stationary or moving subjects, with off-center subjects, and even in low-light/low-contrast lighting.

Direct Printing/Sharing

The PowerShot S410 introduces a new Print/Share button that speeds and simplifies printing to compatible Canon and PictBridge enabled printers and one-touch image transfer to Windows XP, Me, 2000, and 98 computers for use with image processing programs, uploading to the Internet, or placement in e-mail. When connected to a Canon Compact Photo printer, a Movie Print mode divides the selected clip into equal parts and prints thumbnails of a maximum 63 equally spaced frames onto a single sheet of Postcard Size Paper.

Images can be downloaded to either a Mac or PC via USB 1.1 connectivity, which means the camera can be connected to any USB-based Windows Me/2000/XP and Mac OS 8.6 or later computer without installing any software.

Camera Reviews - Canon PowerShot SX20IS 12.1 MP Digital Camera (20x Optical Zoom)

Canon PowerShot SX20IS 12.1 MP Digital Camera (20x Optical Zoom)- Camera Reviews

By Ryan B. Smith

The new Canon PowerShot SX20IS is a new mega-zoom model that has just been release in mid-August this year (2009). It is the successor to the very successful SX10IS model that has been reining the bestseller's charts for quite some time now.

One of the new features found on the Canon PowerShot SX20IS is that it can record HD videos at 720p. This model uses a 28-50mm wide-angle lens that has a 20x optical zoom. The zoom can be used while recording videos. It also has a 12.1MP image sensor, and like most new Canon models, uses a DIGIC 4 processor that produces excellent image quality.

On the back of the camera, you will find a 2.5-inch LCD display that can be rotated at various angles. There is also a button that is dedicated for recording videos that lets you record movies with a push of the button.

As a successor to the SX10IS, the new Canon PowerShot SX20IS did not disappoint. It retains many of the great features of the older model (user-friendly interface) and tops it up with a couple more. The image quality is quite stunning considering its price range. They were even better in many ways than those taken on some of my more expensive DSLR cameras.

At first glance, the Canon PowerShot SX20IS may seem a little bulky, but it is actually surprising comfortable to hold. It has a good, comfortable grip and feels very durable. With the looks of this new model, it looks like Canon is set to rein the mega-zoom camera market for a long time to come. Currently, the Canon PowerShot SX20IS retails at around $399 each.

Canon's PowerShot SX20 is a higher-end point-and-shoot camera (non-DSLR) that offers a range of features, and is targeted at experienced amateur photographers. It has a 20x optical zoom capability with optical image stabilization, and an AUTO mode that can select from 22 different preset shooting modes (or these can be user-selected). The overall photo resolution is 12.1 megapixels and the SX20 uses Canon's DIGIC 4 image processor, which enhances image clarity and fine-detail structure. It has a 2.5-inch diagonal LCD screen to view or take pictures, and runs on AA batteries. One of this camera's other main features is its 720p high-definition video capture mode, as well as an.

Review of the Canon PowerShot S90 - CanonPower Shot S90

By Joseph Stutzman

Finding a digital camera that performs better than average but that falls outside the realm of professional digital SLRs can be a challenge. One camera that meets these requirements is the Canon PowerShot S90.

The Canon Power Shot S90 is a compact, lightweight digital camera that features user-friendly controls, manual and semi-manual shooting modes, and a wide angle f2 lens that provides very good low-light photo quality. Weighing just seven ounces, it offers ten megapixels, making it ideal for above-average amateur photographers. The camera design includes a small, pop-up flash as well as a control ring around the lens that can be used to adjust aperture, ISO, shutter speed, focus, exposure compensation, zoom, or white balance.

On the downside, the Canon PowerShot S90 offers average performance. It suffers from shutter lag and cannot offer the same fast shooting modes as a higher-priced digital SLR camera. It lacks HD movie capture capabilities. The zoom is also short, and there is no optical zoom while recording. There is some barrel distortion at the widest position on the lens. In addition, there is no optical viewfinder on the Canon PowerShot S90, and it takes a while to power up the camera before you can start shooting.

Overall, however, the Canon PowerShot S90 is a great choice for amateur photographers who are looking to invest in a higher quality digital camera. It offers excellent photo quality as well as good solid performance. It is particularly well-suited for those who are looking for a compact, above-average digital camera.

Canon Powershot SD1400 Reviews - SD1400 ReviewsCanonPowershot

By Joseph Clayton

In February 2010 Canon released its new generation of Powershot digital cameras. The Canon Powershot SD1400 is the most advanced of the new releases. Its ultra slim design which is less than 2 cm at its widest, is stylish and is available in four colors; black, pink, silver and orange.

The camera is designed to be simple to control and easy to use. It has ergonomic curves and a large 6.9cm LCD screen to ensure comfort and ease of use. This Purecolor II screen also has enhanced visibility and features a special glass layer making it easy to view in bright sunlight.

This is an ideal family camera as the Canon Powershot SD1400 has a smart automatic setting, but also has a large range of manual adjustment possibilities. This means that it is easy for a beginner to use. The more skilled photographer can alter shutter speed, exposure compensation, white balance, and metering and ISO sensitivity manually. The automatic setting can even assess the correct scene and has intelligent exposure and motion detection technology so that the user can concentrate solely on composure. On screen hints and tips are available.

The Canon Powershot SD1400 includes a genuine Canon 35mm equivalent lens, with image stabilizer. It has a 4 x optical zoom and wide aperture to cover the full range of shots. It incorporates Smart Shutter technology which can detect smiles, winks and blinks and is especially effective in portrait photography. The advanced face recognition technology can identify up to thirty five faces at one time. It can also detect when a new face comes into view. It then activates the shutter for easy self or group portraits without using the timer which can often be awkward.

The sensor has 14.1 megapixels for large, clear pictures up to a size of 4320 x 3240 millimeters. Canon used their DIGIC system, which gives fast focus, ensuring a quick response from the shutter. This is especially useful for shooting a moving subject.

The flash has the ability to sense how much light is needed and adjust itself to provide that amount of light. This reduces glare and unnatural colors in night photography. For people who do not like using flash the Powershot has high sensitivity settings enabling it to pick up more of the available natural light.

Canon aimed to make the camera more fun and creative by extending its shooting possibilities with some extra modes. In addition a comprehensive menu of shooting modes there is; fish-eye effect, miniature effect, color swap, long shutter, stitch assist and color accent.

The Canon Powershot SD1400 has large video capacity. It is possible to make high quality HD video clips up to an hour in length with a recording rate of thirty frames per second. An HDMI connection is provided for easy viewing on compatible televisions and computers.

The size of the camera and its range of possible uses make it ideal for travelling. Canon has added to this by designing an additional waterproof case for protection. This can also be used underwater to a depth of 40 meters.
